Jacob Harry Crayne, aged 85 years, and a well known resident of Jefferson, died at his home Monday morning, February 27, following a two weeks' illness due to informities of advanced years. Mr. Crayne was a son of David and Caroline Harry Crayne, and was born November 30, 1848, in Jefferson township. He had been a successful farmer and stock raiser. He was a member of the Jefferson Methodist Episcopal church and always took an active interest in the affairs of the community. Besides his wife, Arabelle Bosworth Crayne, he leaves four children, David H. and William C. (Bessie) Crayne and Mrs. Henry C. (Ida May) Pitcock, all of Jefferson, and Mrs. Grover L. (Jessie) Pollock, of Marianna. There are eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
