THELMA RITA AMES, 74, died Thursday at her home. She was the former Thelma Alvey, a retired employee of the former Bernheim Distillery and a Catholic. Survivors: a daughter, Pamela J. Ames; a brother, William Alvey Jr.; and a grandson. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday, St. Clement Catholic, 5431 Johnsontown Road. Entombment: Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 3-9 p.m. Monday. Memorial gifts: her church.
