Philip C. Ames, 75, died Friday at Humana Hospital-Southwest. He was a retired inspector for Ford Motor Co., and a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors: his wife, Thelma R. Alvey; a daughter, Pamela J. Ames; a brother, Russell K. Ames; and a grandchild. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday, St. Clements Catholic Church, 5431 Johnsontown Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
