NACHES HEIGHTS - Mollie Otha Breshears, age 62, peacefully left this world April 7, 2004 at her home in Naches Heights, Washington.
Mollie was born in Batesville, Arkansas on February 25, 1942 to Boyd and Otha (Copeland) Akins. She moved with her parents in 1946 to Washington State and was raised and educated in Naches.
Mollie was an acomplished organist, pianist and accordion player in her younger years serving for her church. Her love of music entitled her to play with Myron Florin of the Lawrence Welk Show. She also taught many children the piano and organ.
Mollie married Eugene O'Dell, (Naches), in December 1957, and raised three sons.
She spent most of her life raising her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her caring of family and friends.

Mollie was also a strong supporter of the Highland area Volunteer Fire Departments, making many contributions of support and equipment over the years.
Mollie is survived by her mother, Otha L. Akins, of Tieton; her spouse, Robert Breshears, of Yakima; Mollie's three sons, Chris O'Dell and his wife Mary, of Cowiche, Kevin O'Dell, of Puyallup, and Antonne O'Dell and his wife Robin, of Kennewick; seven grandchildren, Scott, Kelly, and Nick O'Dell, Justin and Megan O'Dell, Jacob and Lucas O'Dell, Nathan Cooper, Alexandra Cooper; one brother, Robbie Akins and his wife Marcia, of Tieton, one niece, Heather Escobedo and her husband, Pedro Jr., of Riverdale, CA. Extended family on her spouse's side: parents, R.C. Breshears and wife Loy, of Yakima; daughters, Dixie Withrow and husband Alan, of Selah, Kathy and husband Jerry Mertz, of Selah; a son, Bob Breshears Jr. and wife Terri, of Yakima; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mollie was preceded in death by her father, Boyd Roy Akins.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, April 12, 2004 at Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel. Interment will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 5 PM at Keith and Keith Funeral Home on Ninth Avenue.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Diana Willadsen of Washington Hematology-Oncology for extending Mollie's life further after being diagnosed with liver cancer in 2002.
At Mollie's request, memorial contributions are suggested to the Naches Heights Fireman's Association c/o Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Mrs. Breshears was born in Batesville, Ark.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Breshears of Yakima; her mother, Otha L. Akins of Tieton; three sons, Chris O'Dell of Cowiche, Kevin O'Dell of Puyallup, Wash., and Antonne O'Dell of Kennewick; her brother, Robbie Akins of Tieton; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel. Interment will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
