John Pitcock, an aged citizen, died at his home in Whiteley township, Saturday morning, March 19, aged 82 years, following a four weeks' illness. Mr. Pitcock was a son of Jacob and Margaret Eisiminger Pitcock, deceased, and was born July 10, 1844. He had followed farming and stockraising all his life. His wife, Mrs. Sidney Rush Pitcock, died March 12, 1926. Six of a family of ten children survive, Owen, John B. and Miss Jennie Pitcock, of Waynesburg; Calvin and Worthy Pitcock, of Jefferson, and Jessie L. Pitcock, at home. One brother, William Pitcock, of Donora, and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Rockwell, of Mobly, W. Va., and Mrs. Sarah Smith, of Whiteley township, also survive.
