Funeral services for G.P. Mitcham, 66, who died at his home in Cisco Friday afternoon at 6 o'clock after an illness of about 18 months, were held at the Methodist Church in Cisco Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
Mr. Mitcham was born and reared in Malakoff, and was the son of the late J.M. and Emma Mitcham.
He was formerly in the grocery business in Malakoff, and later became an oil man and extensive land owner at Cisco, where he had resided for about 40 years.
Surviving are his wife, four sons, one daughter and two sisters, Mrs. J.R. Birdwell of Los Angeles and Mrs. L. Waldon of Weatherford.
Mrs. Mitcham is a sister of Mrs. Knox Webster of Athens.
