Mary was born in Macon, GA on August 7, 1914, the youngest daughter of the late James T. and Martha V. (Brown) Beal.
Following graduation from Birmingham High School in Alabama, she worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. She married William Edwards Annin, III on January 18, 1945 and became a fulltime homemaker and mother.
She loved cooking, oil painting, sewing, reading, camping and traveling the world over. She was a member of the Milton & Marlboro United Methodist Church.
A family statement reads: "She was a much loved Southern Beauty with a gift for funny sayings and a deep love of life who will be missed greatly."
Mary Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Ed; her sons, William E. Annin, IV and David E. Annin; her brother, Robert Beal; and sister, Ruby Keating. She is survived by her daughter, Anne V. Annin of Milton; her nieces: Linda Friend and husband, Lyman, Elaine Matz and husband, Will, and Linda Lee Hollister of Jacksonville, FL; and lap companion, Missy Pooh dog.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., today, Monday, September 21, at the DiDonato Funeral Home, Marlboro.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, at the Milton & Marlboro UMC, Milton with Rev. Vicky Annin officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, AL.
Donations may be made to the Osceola Council on Aging of FL or the Milton & Marlboro United Methodist Church, Milton, NY 12547.
