Daisy was born in Jamaica, on July 15, 1915, the daughter of the late Robert and Jane (Jeffrey) Wolcott.
She worked as a nurse in Kingston, and later at Bellevue Hospital in New York and later in home health care in Litchfield County with Visiting Nurses. She sang with The Belles and Beaus, and Berkshire and Norfolk Singing Groups. She leaves three daughters, Julia Johnson Roy of Bloomfield, Joan Reiger of Kansas, Suzanne Whitney of Torrington and several grandchildren. She was predeceased by a stepson Clifton Johnson.
