Daughter of Kirsti Jorgensdatter whose 1m was to Fingar Olsen. She married Halvor Olsen four years after the death of her first husband. She had many children, all of them went to the states.

Clipping: OBITUARY OF MRS. O. E. DOKKEN
Thursday, January 15, 1920

Eli Banken was born at Hallingdahl [Valley], Norway, on February 14, 1845, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ole Olson, at Cedar Falls, on January 7, 1920, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 24 days. (Note: This would make her birthdate be January 13, 1843.)

In 1864 [last number blurry] she was united in marriage to Eingbret Dokken. Four children, all of whom survive her, were born to this union. They are: Halvor Dokken of Thunder Hawk, S.D., Mrs. Harry Cooper and Knut Dokken, both of Kensett, and Mrs. Ole Olson of Cedar Falls.

In 1876 the family came to America and settled on a farm five miles west of Kensett. Mr. and Mrs. Dokken made their home on that farm until 1907, when they rented the place and moved to Kensett. Mr. Dokken died on January 4, 1910.

Mrs. Dokken had been in poor health for several years, and went to Cedar Falls early last fall to make her home with her daughter, and was there when called by death.

Besides the four children, Mrs. Dokken is survived by two brothers and one sister, F. H. Banken of Windmere, N.D., Ole Banken of Hayfield, Minn., and Mrs. Carrie Banken of Stratcona, Minn.

The body was brought to this place Friday, and the funeral was held on Saturday at the home of ... Ole Dokken, and at Elk Creek [Church] and the remains were laid [to rest at] Elk Creek Cemetery. The [services] were conducted by Re. T. .... (clipping torn).
