James Wiley is the son of Jasper Law Snow and Mary Eveline 'Youngblood' Snow.
He is the husband of Sarah Elizabeth 'Vaughn' Snow.
Together they had six children.
Aulcie, Lester 'Bud', Ruby, Eugene, Curtis Joaquin 'Skippy' and James.
He had six brothers, William Isaac 'Will', Isham Green "Ice', Charles Henry, Thomas Elmer, J Samuel 'Sammie' and Theodore Roosevelt. Also six sisters, Martha Charlotta, Matilda Paralea, Mary Sue, S Melissa, Lucy Mae and Nancy Elizabeth.
Wiley and his wife had a store at Wayton for a number of years. They also ran the Wayton post office out of a corner of the store.
Later in life they moved to California.
Wiley was known for being a quiet man, easy going and honest.
His sister Mary, married his wife's brother, Will Vaughn.
Wiley's name sake is buried in the Snow Cemetery at Wayton, AR. Wiley Snow, the elder, was the first person buried in what was at the time his own pasture and would later become the cemetery to bear his name.
Wiley's wife, Sarah, is also buried in the Snow Cemetery there at Wayton.
