Robert, his wife and five children moved to New Mexico Territory from Mason County Texas in 1868. He was a farmer and rancher. He and his wife had ten children and five survived. Their firstborn was a daughter Ann Elizabeth who was born in 1858 and died in 1861. They had two sons William Delano who was born in 1859 and Robert Adam, who was born in 1861. In 1862 Lily was born and two years later Ellen was born in 1964. Another son Johnny was born in 1866. Their first six children were born in Texas. In 1869 Kathleen Belle was born in Picacho and in 1871 Mollie Florence was born in Picacho. In 1872 three of their children died within twenty four hours and were buried in a single grave. Johnny was 5, Kathleen was three and Mollie was one year old. In 1873 Mollie Francis was born. In February of 1875 John Samuel was born.
Robert was killed in the town of Lincoln in August 1875 and was buried at this cemetery. Two years later Mollie Francis died and was buried here. Later that year Daken Reed died and his family asked the Casey Family if Mr. Reed could be buried there.
