Doris Littlefield Johnston Minkle, 89, of Fort Smith, AR, passed away Monday, October 26, 2009. She was born August 27, 1920 in Plymouth, MA to Harold and Sarah Littlefield.
She was retired Eligibility Supervisor for the County of Los Angles in California.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Andy Minkle.
Funeral service was at Goddard United Methodist Church Great Room with Rev. Wade Shownes officiating under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Burial was at Rose Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Whittier, CA on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 under the direction of Rose Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary.
She is survived by her children Richard Minkle and Wife Maria of Peoria, AZ, Roger Minkle of Tustin, CA, Dee Dee Lynn of Tustin, CA, Doug Minkle and wife Sherri of Alma, AR and Ray Minkle of Fort Smith, AR; 2 sisters Shirley Paulson of Keene, NH and Lois Dawnis of Keene, NH; stepmother Verna Bell of Keene, NH; 7 grandchildren Michele Johnson, Renee Bolton, Jason Lynn, Jenny Lynn, Kristina Minkle, Debbi Rowlett and Sherri Anne Pound; 9 great grandchildren Alexander Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Tyler Castaneda, Hayden Castaneda, Loren Bolton, Luke Bolton, Ivan Rowlett, Drake Rowlett and Carter Lynn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cesar Santos, Eddie Ortiz, Matthew Ortiz and Nicholas Ortiz.
