He was born in Rome township on June 28, 1866, a son of William and Emily Morris. He lived in that community until he was 21 when he engaged in the oil business and moved to various parts of the country.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche, and the following sons: Ralph. Portland, Ore.; Guy, Cleveland; Charles, Pittsburgh; Carl, New Jersey; one brother, Albert W. Morris, Oil City, Route 2; and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Reynolds, Corry, Route 1.
The funeral service will be held Friday in Sistersville, W. Va. Interment will be in the Sisterville cemetery beside his son, William, who died several years ago. (Oil City Blizzard, Jan. 7, 1953)
