Mr. Mack E. Baugh, 72, of 15356 Skyline Drive, State Line, Pennsylvania, died at 10:45 a.m., Saturday, October 31, 2009 in Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, Maryland. His death was unexpected.

Born June 7, 1937 in Goochland County, Virginia, the son of Racie (Barrett) Baugh, Kansas City, Kansas, and the late Mack Donald Baugh. He spent his early life in Ottumwa, Iowa. Mr. Baugh graduated with the Class of 1955 of Ottumwa High School.

He served in the U.S. Army for 22 years and was stationed in Korea, France, Germany, and Fort Ritchie. Mr. Baugh served in the Vietnam War and retired as a Sergeant in 1984.

He and his wife, Sylviane (Lefrancois) Baugh, were married on July 21, 1966 in Idar-Oberstein, Germany, and have lived at their current residence since 1977. Mr. Baugh, along with his wife, owned and operated Baugh's Auction, Waynesboro, and more recently, Baugh's Used Furniture, Greencastle, for the last twenty years. He was a member of Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post #373, Greencastle.

In addition to his wife and mother, his is survived by his daughter: Teanne M. McDonald, Elmont, New York; two sons: Tony Baugh, Greencastle, Mack M. Baugh, Washington, D.C.; five grandchildren; four sisters: Edna Perry, Ruth Humphrey, Naomi Labrie, Barbara Baugh; eight brothers: Ray Baugh, Earl Baugh, James Baugh, William Baugh, Larry Baugh, Andre Baugh, Ricky Baugh, and Curtis Baugh; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; son, Edward D. Baugh; sister, Beverly Baugh; and his brother, Gary Baugh.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2009 in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington Street, Greencastle, Pennslyvania, with Sergeant Major Paul Hammond, U.S. Army Retired, officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
