Mr. Reeves was a lifelong resident of Greene County. He was born Aug. 30, 1882, on Coallick, in Franklin Township. He was a son of George and Pamelia Christopher Reeves.
His first wife, Ruth Moredock Reeves, died in 1917. His second wife, Emma Kinney, survives. Also surviving are the following children by the first wife: Harold Reeves, Waynesburg, RD 6; Albert Reeves, Charleroi, and Mabel, wife of James Garrettson, Jr., Sycamore, RD 2. One son, Forrest Reeves is deceased.
There also survives one step-daughter, Mrs. George Rice, Waynesburg; one grandchild; one sister and two brothers, Mrs. Frank Crayne, Millsboro; Hicey Reeves, Marianna, RD 2, and William Reeves, Waynesburg, RD.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waynesburg. He was employed as a stationary engineer for the last 40 years at the Carnegie Gas Company pump station, two miles east of Waynesburg.
