Celia L. Elmer, 85, of Beloit, WI, died November 10, 2009 in the Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was born August 16, 1924 in Black River Falls, WI, the daughter of Lute and Ruby (Heath) Taylor. Celia married Accy Rhoades on February 15, 1941 in Black River Falls, WI. He predeceased her while serving his country in Lyte Island on October 20, 1944. She later married Wesley R. Elmer on January 22, 1946 in Beloit, WI. He predeceased her on June 8, 1995. Celia was employed by Fairbanks Morse Company as a purchasing clerk for 34 years, retiring in 1982. She was one of the original members of the Christ United Methodist Church and now a member of the River of Life United Methodist Church, Beloit, WI where she was a Youth Group Leader. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women's Club, Fairbanks Morse Quarter Century Club, American Ex-Prisoners of War, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary #14, and the Sand Castle Card Club. Celia enjoyed her trips to Ho-Chunk Casino and Bingo, but most of all, she enjoyed spending the day with her grandchildren, Keegan and Laim Rhoades. Survivors include her three sons; one daughter; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister; special niece and friend. She was predeceased by her parents, twin sister, Lelia, and other siblings, Lyman, Ned, Margaret, Vinnie, Ida, Gertrude, Goldy, and Dorothy.
