Mrs. Edwards was born January 18, 1841, near Perrysville, Ind., and had lived in Decatur more than 60 years, most of that time in Blue Mound township. She was married 54 years ago in Macon county to Hiram Jerome Edwards, and the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1910. She joined the Christian church when a girl.
She leaves her husband and five children, W. Frank Edwards, James Thomas Edwards, Jacob Theron Edwards and Jerome Edwards, Jr., and Mrs. S. E. Bair. Burial will be in Salem cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary J. Edwards will be this afternoon in the Bethlehem church, six miles southwest of Decatur. Burial will be in Salem cemetery.
