Victor James Janak was the son of Frank Janak and spouse, Mary (nee Sustala). He was born in the rural area of Gonzales County, Texas. His father was a farmer, and his mother a housewife

Mr. Janak was a veteran of the US Army Air Force, World War II.

In Memory of Victor James Janak, Sr.

Victor James Janak, Sr.,75, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2000.

Mr Janak was of Czech Heritage, a proud member of SPJST and one of the first builders and developers in the Spring Branch area. He was a generous person who improved the quality of life for many and lovingly caed for his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife Evelyn Janak of 49 years: sons Victor Janak II and wife, Judy, Tim Janak and wife, Janeen, Ted Janak and wife Carol Ann: daughter, Mary Maas and husband John Maas: grandchildren, James and Tim Janak Jr, Christina Janak, Grant Janak, Michelle Maas, and Jennifer Maas.

The family accepted friends from 6pm to 9pm Wednesday, July 26, 2000 at the JB Earthman Tanglewood Chapel, 5740 San Felipe, with a rosary recited at 7pm.

A funeral mass was held at 10am Tuesday, July 27,2000 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 8825 Kempwood. Rite of Committal followed at Forest Park Westheimer.
