James Clarence Gann
James Clarence Gann, age 82, died Friday, January 6 at Houston Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 7 at Houston Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Chickasaw Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bill Bailey and Rev. Charles Flake officiating.
The son of the late Tom Gann and the late Mattie Long, he was retired and was a member of the Church of God. He was born in Chickasaw County.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vonnie Mae Criddle Gann of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Mae Wilkes of Huntsville, Alabama and Mrs. Bobbie Faye Hurt of Okolona; two sons, James Mahlon Gann and Melvin Evans Gann, both of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Lera Allen of Houston; one brother, Richard Gann of Houston; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Curt Gann, Leonard Gann, Donald Gann, W F Gann, R L Gann and Bobby Lewis Gann.
Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
