Harold Perry

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Santa Clara Seventh-Day Adventist Church for Harold David "Hal" Perry of Eugene, who died Nov. 11 of prostate cancer. He was 81. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene, and burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.

He was born Oct. 6, 1928, in Houston, Texas, to Paul and Margaret DuBois Perry. He married Bonnie Louise Smith Nov. 28, 1969, in Reno, Nev.

He graduated high school and served two years in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Okinawa as a radio maintenance technician, also qualifying as a carbine marksman. He attended the RCA Institute in New York after leaving the Air Force.

He worked in the research labs at Hughes Aircraft for 13 years. He then worked for Ramic Corp. before starting Automation Systems with a couple friends. He retired in 1993, after working 10 years for Tektronix in Beaverton.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Patrick of Dallas, Texas, and David of Vancouver, Wash.; and five grandchildren.

Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to Sacred Heart Hospice.
