Professional Football Player. Born Kenneth Henry Kirk, he attended Tupelo High School and played collegiate football at the University of Mississippi. While with the Rebels, Kirk played at the center and linebacker positions and was a member of John Vaught's teams that won three bowl game titles (1958 Sugar Bowl, 1958 Gator Bowl and 1960 Sugar Bowl). He co-captained the 1959 Sugar Bowl Champion squad which also held part of the National Championship Title. For four seasons (1960 to 1963), he played at the linebacker position in the National Football League with the Chicago Bears, Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Rams. He was chosen by the Bears during the 9th round of the 1960 NFL Draft and appeared in 44 career regular season games. Following his football career, he worked as a real estate developer, property manager and construction company owner. (bio by: C.S.)
