LEOMINSTER -- Elizabeth R. (Ruppert) Steffenberg, 88 years old, of Leominster, died Thursday, February 12, 2015, in the LifeCare Center of Leominster.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy E. Maloughney and her husband, James T. of Leominster; two sons, William F. Steffenberg and his wife, Pamela J. of Templeton, and Arthur J. Steffenberg, Jr. and his wife, Yvonne R. of York, ME; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Maloughney, Colleen Maloughney Rabbitt and her husband, Nicholas, James Maloughney, Gabriella Steffenberg, Alexander Steffenberg, Emma Steffenberg, and John Steffenberg.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Arthur J. Steffenberg, Sr. in 2003.
Elizabeth was born May 23, 1926 in Wilmington, Delaware, daughter of William C. and Alice R. (Banks) Ruppert, and had lived in this area since 1959. She had worked for the Hercules Powder Company in Wilmington, DE many years ago. She was a member of St. Leo's Church, St. Leo's Ladies Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary and was a Cooperator of the Prelature of the Catholic Church, Opus Dei.
STEFFENBERG -- Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015 from 10-11:30 am at the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in St. Leo's Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster.
