Joseph also married Mary Bigelow Allen and Lois ( ) Sanders. They are all buried in Hopkins Cemetery, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada. Joseph had a brother named Gabriel.

Wife of Isaiah K. Millard, a third generation of Millards who came to North America in the early 1700's. They married in 1830 and moved to Hamilton, Canada in the 1830's where Ezra and Joseph were born. The family moved to Sabula, Jackson Co., Iowa in 1850.

1. Ezra Millard 1833-1886 NE m. Anna Clark Williams, niece of Willard Barrows, a wealthy man from Davenport, IA. Ezra, his brother Joseph and Willard Barrows formed a land company and crossed the prairie in a covered wagon to arrive in Omaha, Nebraska in the summer of 1856. Millard, a suburban area 12 miles southwest of Omaha was named for Ezra, who platted the desolate prairie in 1870. He also left a legacy by establishing the Omaha National Bank, Omaha Library Association, Omaha School for the Deaf and Omaha's first public high school. Ezra Millard Elementary School was built and named in his honor.
