James Douglas Kendall, 81, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away November 27, 2009. Born September 22, 1928 in Franklin, KY the son of the late Willie and Ruby Kendall. James served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a Mechanic in the construction industry for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Hazel; sons, Paul (Alicia), Carl (Jacqueline), Mark and John all of Jacksonville; brother, Earl Cummings of Scottsville, KY., five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be held 5 to 8pm, Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 1:30pm, at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors. Arrangements by Hardage Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home.
