Miguel and his mother left Panama and settled in Jamaica, New York.
When Miguel arrived in Vietnam 10 August 1971, he was assigned to B Company, 1st Battalion, 46th Infantry, 19th Infantry Brigade, Americal Division, USARV. B Company was on a patrol, 4 kilometers west of Dien Ban, when Miguel detonated a hostile booby trap. Miguel died as a result of multiple fragmentation wounds to the body from the booby trap explosion.
Survived by his mother, Ruth T Bynoe of 111-04 145th Street, Jamaica, New York, and his father; Ernesto C Bynoe of Box 5051, Cristobal, Canal Zone.
