Violinist, laureate of the international competition "Queen Elizabeth" in 1969. Played with the Berliner Philarmoniker and the London Symphony Orchestra. Uccle cemetery was closed in 1945 because it was essentially full. Hirshhorn was buried there by special request of Queen Fabiola.
