FUNERAL SERVICES OF MRS. McGUFFEY

The funeral services of Mrs. Harriet Graves McGuffey who passed away in Billings, Mont, on January 22nd, were held on last Thursday afternoon in the Presbyterian church. There in the presence of her many friends and sorrowing relatives, amid a profusion of floral offerings, the last sad rites were performed Rev. Pitkin had charge of the services and gave a beautiful address m memory of this estimable lady.

Mrs. Harriet Graves McGuffey was born April 14th. 1842, in Illinois. In 1871 with her husband she moved to Nebraska and here in 1900 her husband, Milo McGuffey, passed away. She came to Cody from Nebraska in 1904 and has been a resident of Cody almost continually ever since that date.

She Joined the Presbyterian church of Cody at the time of its organization thus becoming a charter member.

Mrs. McGuffey was the mother of four sons and one daughter all of whom have at some time lived in Cody. They are John McGuffey, of Missoula, Mont.: A. J. McGuffey, of Portland, Oregon; William and Newton McGuffey of Cody, and Miss Jennie McGuffey of Cody, and all have the deepest sympathy of the entire community.
