Laura Tew Grant Stevenson, 83, passed away Wednesday at her home.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Onslow Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Bert Eaton from St. Peter's By-The-Sea Episcopal Church in Swansboro officiating.

Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson owned and operated Lejeune Motor Co. in Jacksonville.

Mrs. Stevenson was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, where she participated in many activities of the church.

She is survived by her two sons, John O'Rion Stevenson and wife, Susan, of Swansboro and Jerry Scott Stevenson and wife, Christine, of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Shelly S. Carlisle of Swansboro, Laura Booth S. Parker of Morehead City, Laura Alexis Stevenson of Jacksonville and Barringer Grant Warlick Stevenson of Jacksonville; one great-grandson, Ernest Linn Parker V of Morehead City; two sisters, Jayne G. Webber of Goldsboro and Peggy G. Adams of Goldsboro; and several special nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard O'Rion Stevenson Jr., May 16, 2009; her parents, John W. and Laura Tew Grant; her brother, Mayor Johnny Grant of Hollywood, Calif.; and her sister, Dorothy G. Price of Johnson City, Tenn.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
