Author. Known as Baron Corvo, he was a English novelist noted for his eccentric writings. He left home at age fifteen and worked for the next ten years as a school teacher. He trained for ordination as a Catholic priest but was dismissed for his strange behavior, then took to writing. His first published book “Stories Toto Told Me” (1898), led to his exposure in the press for ridicule, but he continued to write producing a series of popular fantastical works titled “Hadrain The Seventh“. In 1908, he left Britain to live in Venice and never returned. There, he published some of his best works to include “In His Own Image”, “Don Tarquinio”, “Don Renato, An Ideal Content” and “The Weird Of The Wanderer’. In the latter 20th Century, his books had a large following in the field of book collectors.
