Husband of Sarah F. Rodgers Worsham, son of Jefferson Worsham and Rebecca Elkins. William was a farmer. During the Civil War he went to work in the salt mine in Saltville, Virginia, not far from Bristol, Tennessee where Sarah and the children lived. About 1870, he moved his family from Bristol to Bluff, probably for because of the logging jobs. He was a blacksmith as well as a subsistence farmer.
