Bill was a native and longtime resident of the North Chattanooga area. He served our country during World War II in the U. S. Army Air Corps, where he worked on bombers in England. Bill was a lifetime member of Riverview VFW.
Bill worked for TVA, then Amco in Chattanooga, TN before retiring from British Petroleum. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hike and was a member of the Hiking Club in Chattanooga, TN.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John V. and Mamie King Trotter; brother, Lee Allen Trotter.
He is survived by his wife, Charlyne; two sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Monday at the North Chapel.
Graveside services for William will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
