Schoolcraft, Mich., August 1.- Miss A. Ada Brown, daughter of the late Hon. E. Lakin Brown, passed away at the old home in Schoolcraft July 30. Miss brown had been one of the leaders in social and literary circles of the village for a good many years and has been in feeble health since an attack of pneumonia last October.
Miss Brown was graduated from the Kalamazoo College in 1963 and had a good many warm friends in that city. She is survived by a half-brother, Secretary Addison M. Brown of the Agricultural college and his family of three daughters and two sons.
The funeral services will be held at the home on Friday afternoon at 2:30 p. m. and be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Jas. Twyson Jones of the congregational church of Kalamazoo. Kalamazoo Gazette August 1, 1918 page 2
