Born December 22, 1933 in Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late Lewis M. Linder and Maggie Beach Linder.
She was a retired secretary from the South Carolina Highway Department and was a lifelong member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church.
Shirley was the widow of the late Donald R. Cooper and surviving are: her sisters, Margaret L. Symynkywicz of Woonsocket, RI and Harriett L. Craven of Walterboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her only child, son Mark L. Marvin, in 1985; and three sisters, Marion L. Deloach, Lennis L. Ulmer and Lois L. Mertins.
