Gerard "Jerry" Lawrence Eckert was the 13th child of John J. and Rose J. (Glass) Eckert. He was the husband of Verna Ann (Amacher) Eckert. In 1958 when I first met Uncle Jerry he had a jewelry store on the corner of Brussels and South Michael Street in St. Marys, Pennsylvania. Coke and I went to his store to select our wedding rings - Uncle Jerry made the occasion even more special by his welcoming personality!
