TRINITY -- Funeral for Vernon Newton Tucker, 65, of Trinity will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with the Rev. Willie Delashaw and the Rev. Keith Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Holy Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Tucker died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, in Morgan County. He was born May 18, 1934, in Lawrence County to the Rev. Dennis and Nona Tucker. He was a painter.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Tucker; three sons, Jerry Tucker, Rickey Tucker and Rodney Tucker, all of Trinity; four daughters, Doris Hester of Tuscumbia, Lavonda Dalton of Trinity, Nancy Kirby of Decatur and Tara Tucker of Moulton; four sisters, Opal Borden and Virginia Naylor, both of Moulton, Gail Bumpus of Trinity and Margie Dutton of Tennessee; and six grandchildren.
