Steven Wendell "Cody" Nix, 55, passed away August 27, 2008. He was born in Dallas, TX and moved to Florida in 2002. Cody was employed by Duos Technologies of Jacksonville, FL as a purchaser. He was a member of the Baptist faith and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was predeceased by his father Linnie Nix, Jr. Family members include his wife, Nataliya V. Vanglovskaya; mother, Louise Sparks Nix, of Hurst, TX; daughter, Jennifer Price, of Dallas, TX; brother, Gary (Martha) Nix, of Bowie, TX; and sister, Laura (Chris) Boyer, of Hurst, TX. Cody was an avid music lover, travelling around the world performing in a band. He was an accomplished composer. Cody was raised working with his father racing in the National Hot Rod Association. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, August 31, 2008 in Quinn-Shalz, A Family Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be held in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.
