Due to a series of ironic family relations at Morristown, VT, the identity of this person confounded the writer. But, persistence pays dividends.

The writer's 3rd great grandfather, Rev. Septimius Robinson, was pastor of the Morrisville Congregational Church within the Town of Morristown, VT from 1835-1860. In 1847 Septimius was the principle founder of Peoples Academy, now Morristown's public high school. In the first years of operation Septimius' brother-in-law, Ozias Pitkin, was Peoples Academy's first principle, accompanied by the latter's sister and one Azro B. Robinson as teachers. Rev. Robinson would personally marry all of his children, even if he had to travel to another state to do so. But, there is no record that he performed the rites of marriage for Azro B. Robinson to his first wife.

The full birth name of the person represented by this footstone is Daniel Azro Ashley Buck Robinson, who went alternately by the name of Azro B. Robinson and finally Ashley B. Robinson. He was the youngest known child of Capt. Isaac Robinson and Julia Harwood, b. of record Feb. 22, 1823 at Calais, VT. He was a descendant of William Robinson and Elizabeth Cutter last of Watertown, Mass.
