Skip was the youngest of the family, a darling, lovable, roly poly type child, happy and everyone loved him. His mother called him "the little fellow". As an adult, he had a medium build, stocky body, blonde curly hair.
He nearly drowned in his youth in a boating accident in the Missisppi river.
He was a happy go lucky person who had many friends. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He liked having a good time and enjoyed telling jokes. He was a devoted family man. He was the only Vogler child who was able to carry the Catholic education into high school (because of finances), other than Father John, his older brother. Skip's hobby was fishing and like his father loved the country and the out of doors. He and his wife, Shirley bought a farm in Leslie, MO, raised cattle, gardened and planned to retire there. Ralph had a heart attack and died at age 56 before he was able to fulfill that dream. The farm was sold after he died.
"Skip was active in the prayer group movement and after his son Paul was permanently injured in a swimming accident, Skip and his wife Shirley went to many healing services praying for a cure but Paul died at age 25. Paul had some improvement but was never healed."
