Lassia Isaac Crisp, age 92, of Martin, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital, Martin. She was born December 20, 1917, in Weeksbury, a daughter of the late Maryland and Annie Compton Isaac. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Martin Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Crisp; one son, Dean Crisp; one sister, Opal Lafferty; and three brothers: Elmer, Virnes, and Virgil Isaac.

Surviving are a daughter, Opal (Bob) Joseph of Prestonsburg; three sons: Carl and Columbus (Blue) Crisp, both of Martin; and Ralph (Rose) Crisp of Hippo; one sister, Ocie Manuel of Martin; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; and two special caretakers: Patti Bellamy and Marietta (Lucy) Reynolds.

She enjoyed activities with her family, and loved to travel to Tennessee. Her loved ones have very fond memories of these special times. Holidays were also special, due to the wonderful food she prepared. She was the cornerstone of her family, and will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Funeral services for Lassia Isaac Crisp were held Tuesday, January 19, at 2 p.m., in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, in Martin, with Chester Ray Varney and Richard Crisp officiating.
