Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Napier Bonner, 77, who died at a local hospital early Wednesday following a long illness, will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Vineville Presbyterian Church.
Dr. Wade C. Hule will officiate, and burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Bonner was the widow of Emmett P. Bonner, and the daughter of Capt. Briggs Hopson Napier and Bessie Reed Napier, pioneer Macon Families. She was a graduate of Wesleyan College, and was a member of the Vineville Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Edward N. Bonner of Macon and Cmdr. Emmett P. Bonner of the U. S. Navy at Falls Church, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Culver C. Corbin of Macon; two brothers, George R. Napier of Macon and Charles H. Napier of Arlington, Va.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be T. Waring Bennett, Albert P. Reichert, Charles C. Corbin, Frank P. Bell, Briggs H. Napier and John N. Napier. Honorary pallbearers will be Neal Bateman, R. B. White, M. C. Balkcom, Arthur Cheatham, Percy D. Griffith, Herbert Smart, Sam Dodds and Pat Jones.
Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
