Daughter of Thomas Stoural, Jr. and Mary (Wirth) Stoural at Verdigre. She attended rural Dist. No. 93 grade school and graduated from Verdigre High School in 1946. After working as a clerk at Marshall's Store for a year, she moved to Lincoln and worked at the Elgin Watch Plant. She married Alvin Hindmand on Aug. 6, 1948. To this union was born four sons, Ronnie, Randy, Ricky and Reed. They also helped their widowed son, Randy, to raise his three small children. She also became a pre-school baby sitter and cared for two generations of small children, touching all their hearts and asking her to attend their weddings in time, and baby's baptisms.
Her husband, Al, died in 1986, five years after his first bout with cancer, which she nursed him through.

The last 10 winters she had spent in Mesa, Ariz., enjoying the warm weather and returning to Lincoln in March. She loved to travel, work in her garden and fish.
While on a short bus trip to Laughlin, Nev., a friend from Arizona, and she, were killed Feb. 3, when they were hit by a speeding, out-of-control car in the lobby of the Edgewater Hotel while waiting for the tour bus to pick the tour group up.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, and sorely missed by all.

Leaving to mourn her are sons, Ronnie, of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Randy, of Lincoln, Rick (Linda), of Chicago, and Reed, of Lincoln; grandchildren, Heather and Jason, of Lincoln, and Justin, of Omaha, seven grandchildren in Texas, Illinois, and Colorado; brother, Don (Verlyn) Stoural, of Verdigre; sister, Betty (Willie) Bernt, of Monroe; nephews, nieces, cousins, many friends, and special friend, Don Scanlon, of Lincoln.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Al; sister and brother-in-law, Marcella and LeRoy Peyton, of Grand Island; her daughter-in-law, Diane Hindmand; mother-in-law, Mila Hindmand; brother-in-law, Howard Hindmand; and sister-in-law, Vivian.
