She married Claude Manche in 1818 in Levier, at the age of 33. If she had a previous marriage, it has not been discovered.
The Manche family settled in Perry County, Missouri, by 1842. After the death of Claude in 1845, Jeanne went to live in St. Louis where she resided with her daughter, Constance Manche Gratiia, and her family.
"Died in the city of St. Louis, on January 20, 1875, Mrs. Jane Manche, mother of Mrs. Constance Gratiaa of that city and Mr. Victor Manche of this county, aged 91 years, one month and 11 days."
