A 21-year-old Sarepta man was killed on impact Friday evening when his pickup truck overturned pinning him in the vehicle.
Sarepta Police Chief Jim Bales reported Scott D. Adkins was pronounced dead at the scene by the Webster Parish Coroner.
Bales said the accident is still under investigation. However, authorities believe Adkin's 1976 pickup truck left the Plain Dealing Highway (LA 2) in a curve and turned over in a drainage ditch.
It was the first fatality in Sarepta this year.
