Mrs. Zella A. Waddell, 66, 1048 West Decatur street, died at 3:30 a.m. today in the home of her sister, Mrs. Helen W. Phillippi, 535 South Monroe.
Mrs. Waddell was born in Quincy June 19, 1884, the daughter of Howard C. and Mary Elizabeth Wise Burks. She was a member of the Methodist church.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Harry Hayes Smith of East Alton and Mrs. Harvey Jester of Taylorville; three sisters, Mrs. Phillippi, Mrs. Fay W. Platt of Decatur and Mrs. W.P. Montgomery of Macon, Ga.; brothers, Arthur W. Burks, president of the Decatur Pump Co. and Roger T. Burks, both of Decatur.
The body is in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday. Services will be at 1:30 Friday in the funeral home with burial in Greenwood.
