Mrs. Carrie Payne, 60, of 601 East Decatur street, a life long resident of Decatur, died at 3:45 a.m. today in St. Mary's hospital, leaving her husband, Richard, and five children.
Mrs. Payne was the daughter of the late Carl and Catherine Litzner and was married here in May, 1905.
Her children are Roger E., Richard C., Berlyn J., Lawrence J., and Mrs. Guy Arrowsmith, all of Decatur. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. E.J. Kleimeier of Decatur and Mrs. A.H. Peyer of Peoria. There are two grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home chapel, where friends may call after noon on Tuesday. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
