Walter J. Siech, 89, passed away at Countryside Manor East on Tuesday, February 16, 2010.
He was born on March 14, 1920 in Gillett, WI, a son of the late William and Natalie Weisner Siech.
Frieda Schulz and Walter were married in June of 1968 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a mechanic for B29's. Walter was stationed in the Philippines.
He was employed at the Kohler Company for approximately 40 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.
Walter was an avid Packer fan and initially attended many games at City Stadium in Green Bay. Fishing and golfing were also favorite past times.
Walter came from a close knit family of six brothers and five sisters. All but one brother Alfred, is deceased. His wife, Frieda, preceded him in death in October of 1988.

five sisters: Elizabeth Siech, Pauline Milhans, Elsie Winkler, Alma Fisher and Frieda "Kitty" Siech;
Survivors include a brother, Alfred Siech of Oshkosh; nieces, nephews; and his stepdaughter, Phyllis Welsch, Sheboygan.
Funeral services for Walter will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Lippert-Olson Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Dr. Timothy S. Ashley, Pastor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, will officiate. Interment will take place in Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in his name for St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the entire staff at Countryside East. Our Uncle was treated with kindness and it meant a lot.
