Officer Philip Fanning of 3916 Lincoln Avenue, was a Police Officer for the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department. He became ill with lobar pneumonia (severe infection and congestion of the lungs) and died at City Hospital at the age of 31.

He is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Martin & Johanna Fanning.

Burial was held in Calvary Cemetery on 12/26/1918.
