Mr. Cumberledge had recently retired from the employ of the Peoples Natural Gas Company after 38 years of service. He was born in Brave on Dec. 9, 1892, a son of the late David and Susan Simpson Cumberledge. He was a member of the Kent Memorial Church at Brave.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ada Phillips Cumberledge; six children, Mrs. Gail Johnson of Bellflower, Calif.; Mrs. Ruth Haught of Wana, W. Va.; Miss Phyllis Cumberledge, Verne and Wayne, all at home, and Burdette of Akron, Ohio; three grandchildren; a brother, Leroy R. Cumberledge of Brave, and four sisters, Mrs. Grant Shanes, Mrs. George Cole, Mrs. Charles Cox and Miss Fannie Cumberledge, all of Brave.
