Daughter of Rev. Gottlieb Brandstettner & Kathrine Wittkemper; both of Germany. Emma was born & died in Cincinnati, Ohio; She married Charles Aring on Feb. 6, 1883 at St John German Evangelical Church in Newport, Ky.

Her father died in May 1903; Her mother in 1901.

Mrs. Emma Aring

Mrs. Emma Fredericka Aring, former northern Kentucky resident, died Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Fred Ahlers, 3257 Daytona avenue, Cincinnati. She was 86.
Daughter of the late Rev. Gottlieb Brandstettner, former pastor of both St. John and St. Mark Evangelical and Reformed Churches, Newport, lived in Northern Kentucky until 1929. Her husband, Charles Aring, died 21 years ago.
She leaves another daughter, Mrs. Henry C. Koerber, Cincinnati; one brother, Theodore Brandstettner, Los Angeles, Cal.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral arrangements are being completed by Allison & Rose, Covington.
Services will be held at the John C. Gump funeral home, 3440 Glenmore avenue, Cincinnati, at 1 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in the German Protestant Cemetery, Bridgetown, O. Allison & Rose, Covington, are in charge of the funeral
