Herman Messerall, 43 year old taxi driver, died yesterday of injuries suffered November 11, 1958 when struck by a car while working on his own car in front of his house at 624 Twenty-third Street N.W. District Coroner A. Magruder MacDonald has ruled the death a traffic fatality. Police said Mr. Messerall's death brings the 1958 traffic deaths to 54 contrasted to 58 at this time last year. Police said Joseph D. Moreland 32, of 4024 Nellie Custis Drive, Arlington, VA has been charged with leaving after colliding. He was directed to return for a coroner's inquest.
